History

The 17th century centre of Prague with its swirl of Baroque and Romanesque architecture has been declared a UNESCO heritage site. Within this mile-square civic treasure resides Hotel Hoffmeister, inspired by Adolf Hoffmeister (1902-1973), writer, artist, bon vivant, and created by his son Martin.
Set at the foot of the Old Castle, close to the city’s many historical landmarks, this family-owned and operated hotel features an art gallery of Adolf Hoffmeister’s paintings and a remarkable collection of caricatures depicting the creme de la creme of the world’s artistic community. The artist’s portfolio includes many of his famous friends - Franz Kafka, Milan Kundera, Salvador Dali, Picasso and Andy Warhol, to name a few.

Besides art, there is an easy grace and modernity to Martin’s hotel. It is internationally recognised with an award-winning restaurant, garden terrace, bar, wine cellar, vinotheque and, indeed every comfort of our age. This summer, a wellness spa was opened offering a wide range of therapies and beauty treatments. Honeymoon Suite - Queen or twin bed set, large sofa, resting armchairs, coffee table and working desk with comfortable chair. Each unit features separate sleeping and living areas. Luxurious bathrooms offer both an oversized jetted / whirlpool soaker tub and separate walk-in shower, two sink units and a bidet. Custom made Czech cherry wood individual furnishing, luxurious fabrics, some with crystal chandeliers, bed heaven (some more contemporary) and carpeting gives each room an original and unique décor. Size: 55-60 sq. metres.

Superior Suites - Queen or twin bed set, large sofa, resting armchairs, coffee table and working desk with comfortable chair. Each unit features separate sleeping and living areas. Luxurious multiple bathrooms offer both an oversized jetted / whirlpool soaker tub and separate walk-in shower, two sink units and a bidet. One of the suites has a 15th century cave ceiling with fireplace. An additional suite is a duplex type with large dining and sleeping area with a spectacular view of Charles bridge, National Theatre and historical Mala Strana - Lesser Town. Cafe Ria - Serves full buffet champagne breakfast. Monday till Friday from 06:30 to 10:30 / Saturday & Sunday from 07:30 to 11:30. Casual dining option is also offered and summer terrace is open for lunch or dinner from 10:00 to midnight every day.

Restaurant Ada - Michelin Star and Guide Gault & Millau awarded. Chef Clement Martial is introducing his art in this newly refurbished fine dining restaurant. The menu offers French influenced international and Czech gourmet cuisine's complimented with local wine pairing. Open daily. Lunch from 12:00 to 15:00 / Dinner from 18:00 to 23:00. Wellness and organic menu offered in both restaurants.

Lobby Bar - Well hidden away Hotel Hoffmeister's Lobby bar is the meeting place of Prague's political and cultural high society. Original cocktails and premium liquors create a smooth intensity. Open daily from noon. One of Prague largest wine collections of - Czech and Moravian products complimented by international celebrity wineries as Bollinger, Sassicaia or Mouton-Rothschild Öcan be found in our historical Winery and Wine cellar. They are offered for private functions. Room service - Available from 06:30 till midnight.

How to get there

From Germany (Nuernberg) - D5 Highway - Follow signs direction to "Praha / Centrum / Mala Strana". Once arrived to the bank of the river, go straight to the end of the road, turn left, first possibility right, follow the tram rail until you arrive in front of Manesuv Most (traffic light where the tram can turn left), turn left and hotel will be seen straight ahead.

From South / East D1 Highway - Follow directions to "Praha / Centrum", once reached the centre continue and look for directions "Mala Strana". After crossing the river you will turn right - following the sign to "Mala Strana" and follow the road along the river at which end you will find the hotel on the right side.

From North D8 Highway - Follow directions to "Praha / Centrum / Mala Strana", once reached the road along the river bank go straight to the end of the road and you will find the hotel on the right side.
