Description

The hotel was first opened in December 2004 after a full reconstruction which took almost 2 years. Before opening the hotel, the house was used for private living and then for the first time in its rich history - was opened as a hotel. Originally, there were 4 spacious flats and through sensitive intervention seven individually unique rooms were made, serving both for short-term and long-term living. Another advantage is the atrium of the house with a terrace and flowers, which creates a relaxing environment amongst the hustle and bustle of Prague city life. The hotel takes pride on personal relations towards our guests and a kind family atmosphere. All of this together with a pleasant accommodation is why our guests enjoy coming back to our small hotel.

History

The first reference of the building dates back to the period around 1400. Originally gothic, the building was divided into two parts in 1538. The left part underwent a broad renaissance reconstruction. In 1622 the parts were again integrated, at this time in the late renaissance style. The interiors then passed through some minor changes in the classicism style. The basement and cellars of the Residence are almost completely covered by different types of wagon vaults in the ceiling. Lastly, the attic suite/floor has been built beneath a beautiful gable feature of the Residence.

Accommodation

The residence offers luxurious accommodation in 7 rooms - 2x double rooms and 5 suites- each up to four/five people. Each suite consists of at least two rooms (usually a bedroom, living room with Sat TV,minibar and safety deposit box) and bathroom with hairdryer. Three of them (De luxe suites) have fully equipped kitchens (fridge, electric cooker, dishwasher, toaster and fast-boiling kettle). Suites without a kitchen are fitted with a fridge, toaster and fast-boiling kettle. Rooms types: • 2 x Suite (satellite TV, telephone, fridge/minibar, safety deposit box, toaster, hairdryer) • 3 x Suite de luxe (fully equipped kitchen, satellite TV, telephone, fridge/minibar, safety deposit box, hairdryer) • 2x double ( satellite TV, telephone, safety deposit box, minibar, hairdryer) - extra bed possible

Restaurants and bars

Downstairs in the Residence is situated a Wine bar called “Alla Stella Nera”. The Wine bar evokes the building’s rich history, which was once a centre of wine culture. The guests can enjoy the unique atmosphere of the wine bar, excellent gastronomy and cultural events.

How to get there

Airport Ruzyne, Prague Take bus number 119 to station “Dejvická“ (last stop) then continue by metro - line A to station “Staromìstská“. From metro station Staromìstská continue on foot to “Valentinská“ Street (direction Charles Bridge), cross “Mariánské námìstí“ square and first to the right is “Semináøská“ Street where our hotel is situated (2nd house on the left).

The reception is open daily for 24 hours in the next Clementin hotel and is common for both hotels. Rich buffet breakfast is served daily from 7.30am till 10 am.
