History

The hotel was open on April 21st in 1909 and built in Viennese Art Nouveau style. The design was the work the work of František Buldro, a Prague builder and the owner of the hotel, together with George Justich, the architect. In 1924, after Mr. Emanuel Oppel bought the building, Hotel Palace Praha became a sought-after center of social and cultural life and one of the few luxury 5-star hotels in Prague.

Hotel Palace Praha´s first epoch of long duration ended on January 1st 1986 when it was closed. After lengthy deliberations among experts and the general public, the idea was formed that the hotel should be thoroughly but sensitively renovated.
Its original character was preserved using the so-called ”house within a house” renovation scheme, i.e., keeping intact the outer wall and facade. It reopened in 1989 and since then has been offering top service and a home away from home to many prominent personalities from around the world. The last renovation of the Hotel Palace Praha was during the year 2000.

Accommodation

Hotel Palace Praha offers 124 luxury, fully air-conditioned rooms, including suites, for single or double occupancy. All rooms are furnished with period furniture, a SAT TV, prepaid television channels and access to the internet. The rooms are further equipped with Tea/Coffee facilities free of charge, a minibar with a large assortment of non-alcoholic as well as alcoholic beverages together with a variety of snacks and finger bites, a safe, 2 direct-dial telephones and the option of connection a fax or a computer. The modern bathrooms are lined with Carrara marble and equipped with bathtub/shower combination, toilet, cosmetic set, hairdryer, beauty mirror and bathrobes. The Hotel has a wide range of suites available, from Junior Suite up to a Palace Suite with private sauna. A non-smoking floors as well as rooms for the physically challenged travelers are available.

The Gourmet Club Restaurant was awarded as one of “Top 10 International Restaurants in Prague”. Here you will be in a quite and calming ambience where it will be possible to taste delicious dishes listening to the piano. We offer international cuisine with an accent on Mediterranean flavours and a harmonious mix of modern Czech cuisine. Open from 18:00 until midnight.
Gourmet Club Gourmet Lounge & Bar – with its casual, bright atmosphere and the cozy bar is the perfect place to have business lunch/dinner or just a coffee and cake or refreshing cocktails for a pleasant end of the day. Open from 6:00 until 1:00.
L’Epoque Restaurant - Open for the magnificent buffet breakfast from 6:00 until 11:00 o’clock to start the day in the right way, complimentary international daily newspapers are always available.

Conference and Banquet facilities: The Conference Hall with natural daylight located on the 8th floor offers full services for private conferences, meetings and banquets for up to 200 persons, features state-of-the art equipment such as high speed Internet access and Wireless LAN as well as a large entrance with a foyer for coffee breaks or buffets. Salons Emma and Enrico feature Art Nouveau style with a removable wall, natural daylight, a separate entrance with a foyer which serves as a recreation and coffee break area - the perfect setting for smaller meetings, cocktails and private events for up to 50 persons.

How to get there

Directions to Hotel Palace Praha from Ruzyne airport Letiste Praha Ruzyne - Evropska street in direction to the centre of the Prague. On the round crossing bear to the right – Svatovitska Street. At the main traffic light make a left onto Milady Horakove Street. Travel approximately 5 kilometers, when you get to the 10th traffic light turn right, traveling across Hlavkuv most /bridge. This is Wilsonova Street, travel approximately 2km passing the main rail station; at the first traffic light make a right, onto Wenceslas Square. Take the second right (half way down the square where the rails are), turn right on Jindřišská street, you’ll see Hotel Palace Praha on the left hand corner of the first intersection.
