Comfort **** hotel with 17-room capacity in the pedestrian zone of the Prague centre. All attractive tourist sights are reachable in walking distance. Location, quality services and prices for accommodation make our hotel affordable for bussiness clients. The rooms are equipped with TV-satelite set, WC, bath or shower, all services are available 24 hours a day. There is a superior restaurant on the ground floor where we serve breakfasts, lunches and dinners. In the basement there is a well-known, cosy jazz club where you can enjoy live jazz music by leading jazz performers (free entrance for hotel guests).

History

In the 15 century the house was situated in U proroků, which was confiscated by the Old town community in 1424. Then Mr. Šídlo bought it and turned it into a tavern named Šebířova. In 1488 Mr. Matěj Rejsek, a well-known late Gothic builder, owned the house. He finished the temple of St. Barbora in Kutná Hora plus many others including Prašná brána. At a later date the house was renamed U zeleného orla. In the 17 century prosecutor Melichar Teyprecht from Prechtynk purchased the house, which was later confiscated and sold for 849 KOP to miller Ondřej Touškovský in 1631. At the end of 17 century the house was again sold to a new owner Reisman from Reisenberk. Later this domestic dweling was transformed into pub which had been visited freguently by well-known historian Wacslaw Wladiwoj Tomek. In the years 1933 - 35 the historical building was remodeled by František Dittrych and turned into a hotel with a restaurant and winery.

Accommodation

Each of our room is fully furnished, including telephone, a cable TV and minibar. Reception service 24 hours. Hotel has some double rooms, two triple rooms with balcony and some apartments. The room includes bathroom with shower or bathtub.

Restaurants and bars

Hotel Restaurant is open in a breakfast time from 7:30 a.m. till 10: a.m. and than from 11:30 a.m. till 22:00 p.m. also for public. Hotel guests have 5% discount for any meals in the restaurant. There is also one of the most famous Prague jazz clubs on the basement of the hotel. Hotel guests have a free entrance to tje Jazz club, which is open from 7:00 p.m. till 2:00 a.m. Jazz club offers a life music every night from 9:00 p.m. till 12:00 p.m. on the average.

Conference

There is any possibility of renting a Jazz club place for any meeting of small groups.

How to get there

Hotel is situated in the Old town between The Old Town Square and The Wenceslaw Square. It´s only 5 minutes walking to these places. The nearest tram stop and an underground is also only 5 minutes walking to Můstek or Národní třída.

Hotel is running from 1995. The hotel was reconstructed in winter 2006, completed by a lift. Hotel has a new nice equipment.
